Office of Economic Development launches Coconut Rhinoceros Beetle resource page
The County of Kaua‘i’s Office of Economic Development (OED) has launched a new resource page to provide the community with vital information about the Coconut Rhinoceros Beetle (CRB), an invasive pest that threatens Kaua‘i’s environment, agriculture, and way of life.
Visit the CRB resource page at kauaiforward.com/coconut-rhinoceros-beetle.
The new Coconut Rhinoceros Beetle webpage serves as a central hub for residents, farmers, and businesses to learn how to identify CRB, take action, and report possible infestations. It includes photo references of beetles and damage, tips for prevention, reporting tools, and updates from local and state partners working to combat the spread of CRB.
In addition to the website, the public is encouraged to follow @KuiKauai on Instagram. The account, run by the Office of Economic Development, shares updates not only about CRB—including how to detect it, what to do if you see it, and where to find help—but also features highlights from other OED projects and initiatives.
The public can also follow @KuiKauai on Instagram for ongoing updates, tips, and information. For more information, please contact the Office of Economic Development at 808-241-4946 or email oed@kauai.gov.
